MINIMA started in March 2020 when lockdown started, and I couldn't go outside anywhere. I was just in my house, bored. I was always interested in pottery and clay molding, but I never liked the entire mess that the huge wheels created.

So I thought of creating a miniature pottery wheel, but those existed. When I inspected the existing products' statistics, I found that the motors had very low torque. That's when I thought of creating a miniature pottery wheel with a high torque motor. Once that was done, I struggled to center and open the clay with ease. So I came up with a design which would allow novices like me at the time to center and open the clay within a few seconds. 

That's how MINIMA was born. MINIMA's first working prototype was created in June 2020. I didn't focus on the look and efficiency of the product much at the time. My concern was to create a fully function wheel with the arms.
